I was born in a mid-sized, midwestern, mediocre city with a silver spoon, in my mouth, that bore the UAW insignia... the land of Lincoln, on the Mississippi river where the mile wide bends heads west then back east... the most famous artist, I know of from my childhood city is Paul Norton, and on the other side of the great river was the museum where Grant Woods 'American Gothic' still hangs, I was the youngest child of three and My older brother, Anthony J. Graham, was my art inspiration growing up, he and my other favorite artist and cousin David A. Peña, we played together and drew apart, to show off to each other. David and Tony were inseparable, damn near joined at the hip, they joined the Marine Reservist together, married sisters, and went to Parkland Art College in Champaign, IL... I was the brat that couldn't keep out of their rooms, going through their Comic Books and looking at the designs on their Art tables. I took my 1st Printing class Freshman year in High School, after my family mentors were working in a sweat shop silkscreening co. in Champaign as artist, and through out High School exhausted all Drawing and Painting classes and took Intro Print, Print I, Print II, Photo I, and Photo II... this being at a time when the commercial artist(s) were changing their title to graphic designers, but things were anything but WYSIWYG, and garbage in was manipulated by hand till it wasn't garbage out... I now have an AAS in Computer Art - Illustration, and a BAS in Graphic Info. Technology, and am still trying to learn new things as I re-enter school to get my MFA in Media Design... Now that I've written a thousand words, go look at my art; they are worth a million more words... LOL - enjoy your viewing session, and thank you for taking the time...
